CEO Jeff Borcherding on the rights issue

Immunovia's CEO Jeff Borcherding sees the rights issue as the next step following the launch of PancreaSure and the submission of the application for Medicare reimbursement. The capital will be used to broaden adoption of the test and strengthen the clinical evidence needed for healthcare providers and payers to fully embrace it.

Why is Immunovia raising capital?
Now that we have successfully launched the PancreaSure test and submitted our application for Medicare coverage, we are raising capital to support achievement of our next steps in commercializing PancreaSure. Our priorities in coming quarters are scaling adoption through targeted commercial investment and adding to the clinical evidence needed to secure reimbursement.

How will the proceeds from the rights issue be allocated?
Proceeds from the rights issue will be allocated to three areas: continued targeted investment in sales and marketing, additional clinical studies, and general corporate purposes. The investment in sales and marketing is aimed driving larger order volumes and demonstrating the demand for the PancreaSure test. Our clinical studies aim to demonstrate the clinical impact and patient benefits of the test and are important to our efforts to secure positive coverage decisions from payers. General corporate purposes include running our lab and fulfilling our obligations as a public company.

What are Immunovia's most important milestones over the next 6–12 months?
Over the coming period we are focused on four milestones. We want to drive trial and adoption of the PancreaSure test, both in hospital high-risk surveillance programs and in large gastroenterology practices. At the same time, we will complete key clinical studies and generate interim data from longer-term studies to support our efforts to secure payer coverage. We also intend to license the PancreaSure test in Asia. Finally, we aim to secure a commercialization partner to significantly expand the commercial reach of the PancreaSure test in the U.S.

Immunovia recently submitted its application for Medicare coverage and is also seeking coverage from commercial insurers. How will the capital raise support this work?
We submitted our application for Medicare coverage on September 28. While the application is in the queue to be reviewed, we can augment the submission with additional clinical data. The capital raise will allow us to generate additional clinical study data to strengthen our submission. These clinical studies, which include the registry study of real-world PancreaSure use, will also provide support for our efforts to seek coverage from commercial payers. Initially, we will focus on seeking coverage from integrated delivery networks (IDNs), U.S. health care systems in which the clinicians and hospitals that provide care, as well as the payers that fund care, operate under one integrated corporate umbrella.

Who should invest in Immunovia?
We are seeking investments from individuals who want to support our important our important mission to improve pancreatic survival and are looking for an investment that offers long-term growth potential. Immunovia is an appropriate investment for individuals who are in a financial position to invest their capital in a company that offers substantial upside, and who are familiar with the associated risks.

How will investors be able to follow Immunovia's progress?
Right here on our new investor platform, you will find a steady flow of updates on our work, adding information that press releases sometimes can't provide; in-depth articles about our science, our commercial progress, the reimbursement landscape, and more.
